Cellebrite (CLBT) Q2'26 - Execution wobble, Forecast question mark
After a year of owning shares and listening to the same 'federal unit' elongated sales excuse, I am putting management on the spot.
I have held a position at Cellebrite since June 2025, knowing there would be a change in CEO at some point given Tom Hogan’s health situation. I also expected uncertainty in the FedRAMP authorization process and uncertainty around AI. However, what I didn’t expect at the Q2 results announcement yesterday was the combination of news. First, they replaced Tom with a newly appointed product head, Shiven Ramji; then, they cut the full-year 2026 ARR guidance by $15M after it was already tightened in Q1 and after known elongated sales issues reported since Q4’25.
Understandably, Mr. Market didn’t like it. I didn’t like it. Shares sold off 30%.
Now, at ~10/share and a 14x Adj.EBITDA 2027, are these issues likely to recur? Has the bad prospect been priced in? What about the high stock-based compensation? What’s the real FCF ex SBC valuation? Has the quality of the business changed?
I’ll reserve the analysis for premium members. As much as shares seem like a good deal, I think owners must know the new CEO is inheriting a long-dated execution issue, and there must be a process to reset and improve.
